About

Welcome to the CHIJ SJC Concert Band, a group of skilled and passionate musicians dedicated to creating beautiful music. Our band is comprised of talented students proficient in a wide range of instruments, including woodwinds, brass, and percussion.

The band comprises 3 main sections:

1. Brass section – Cornet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Tuba

2. Woodwind section – Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Bassoon

3. Percussion section – Drumset, Xylophone, Timpani, Cymbals etc.

What We Offer

Musical Excellence: Each member of our band is committed to honing their musical skills and techniques, creating a harmonious and captivating sound that resonates with our audience.

Participation: We actively engage in numerous intra- and inter-school events throughout the year, providing our students with valuable opportunities to showcase their talents.

Collaboration: Our band actively seeks collaborative opportunities with external organisations, including schools and musical groups. We host exchange programmes with bands from various institutions.

Performance: We thrive in the spotlight! From school events to community-based performances, our students gain invaluable experience in delivering exceptional musical performances.

External Performances: We frequently attend performances at external venues, sharing our love for music with a broader audience.

CCA Camps: Our band members also enjoy the camaraderie and musical growth fostered during our CCA camps, where they engage in intensive practice sessions and team-building activities.
